This six part online professional development program from New Detroit is designed for local leaders and others interested in becoming a positive catalyst for change in transforming business and community organizations to achieve equity in practice. The course includes topics such as racial understanding, anti-racism, and equity in practice. The course is $2,000 per person.
Roots of Health Inequity
An online learning environment to explore root causes of inequity in disease, illness, and death. Funded by the National Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities, NIH. The intended audience is local public health workforce. It was created in 2009 and has updated content.
Introduction to Health Equity and Systemic Racism
This site is managed by Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and is established for MDHHS staff or others interested in accessing online training on various topics. It requires registration by the user. Site includes courses on health equity and systemic racism. Each course is one hour.
