National Postpartum Awareness Week Campaign for Black, Brown & Indigenous Birthing People


The National Postpartum Awareness Week Campaign for Black, Brown & Indigenous Birthing People Campaign which is committed to engaging in collective action to ensure safe pregnancy and postpartum outcomes for Black, Brown, and Indigenous women and birthing people (BIPOC). The campaign will take place both LIVE & VIRTUALLY from Sunday, May 7 to Saturday May 13, 2023. All individuals, groups, organizations, and institutions are welcome from across the country and abroad to engage in the weeklong activities that aim to improve postpartum birthing outcomes. The below sessions are free to attend, but registration is required.

  • Sun, May 7: “Nurturing Birthing Parents, Partners & Their Families”

  •  Mon, May 8: “We Are Each Other’s Harvest: Postpartum Nutrition and Infant Feeding”

  •  Tues, May 9: “The Power of Choice: Educating on Healthy Pregnancy Spacing, Prevention, and Abortion”

  • Wed, May 10: “Rising Above: Hope and Healing from Postpartum Anxiety and Depression”

  •  Thurs, May 11: “Grieving Together: Emotional Support for Families Navigating"

  •  Fri, May 12: “A Call to Action: Advancing Birth and Parenting Justice through Policy Change”

  •  LIVE - Sat, May 13: “Postpartum is Forever: Nurturing Awareness for Lasting Wellness”
